OUR AMENITIES
Smokey Bottom Campground was founded in 2015 by myself, Scott Smith. I am a graduate of WVU Forestry and a huge lover of the outdoors and camping. My first camper was a toyhauler that I used to haul an ATV to southern WV to cruise timber, versus staying in a hotel. I've come a long way from sleeping under the stars in the woods behind my parents but that's where my love for the outdoors began. Playing in the same stream that runs through Smokey Bottom.
My mission is to build a great place for people to camp when they visit our beautiful city and county, whether it be for work or pleasure. I am looking forward to seeing families gather around the fire and share a good meal and some stories. Welcome to Smokey Bottom!
